• Linear PI-type cooling controller module
• Temperature stability of ± 10 mK achievable
• Up to 3A Peltier current
• Over-temperature shutdown capability
• Various analog and digital I/O signals available

Cooling Photodiode Arrays

The dark current of any photodetector strongly depends on the detector temperature. Using silicon photodiode arrays or CCDs, cooling may be an advantage if very low light intensities have to be detected. InGaAs photodiode arrays operating in the NIR region are regularly cooled to reduce their dark current pattern. To allow cooling with the Peltier-tc, photodiode arrays must be equipped with a built-in Peltier element, a thermistor temperature sensor and a sensor heatsink.
