Healthy plants, high yields and a constant optimization of the processes are of major
interest in the agricultural industry. A fast and precise analysis technology is required in
order to ensure optimal yield and a continuous quality of the plant population during the
entire phase of growth. In this context, NIR spectroscopy offers major advantages
compared to competing analytic methods. Real-time data acquisition and analysis allow continuous monitoring of growth, harvest and processing.
The research project of the faculty of agricultural technology at Humboldt University
in
Berlin
and CLAAS SE GmbH demonstrated the future potential of the NIR technique,
as it
allows you to separate grain by defined quality parameters during the
harvest procedure.
